Frequently Asked Questions

Is there another Happy Tooth Dental Clinic in Lahore?

Yes. Another dental clinic in Allama Iqbal Town, Lahore trades under this exact name, and it is not connected to us — different owners, different doctors, different address. We have one clinic and no branches: Pakway Plaza, Mir Dad Chowk, Block N, Phase 2, Johar Town, Lahore 54000, founded in 2020 by Dr. Manahil Iftikhar and registered with Pakistan's SECP as HAPPY TOOTH DENTAL CLINIC (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED, CUIN 0235104. Our only phone and WhatsApp number is +92 333 6333643, and our only website is happytooth.pk. If a listing, phone number or address you have found does not match those details, you are looking at a different clinic. Message us before you travel and we will confirm you have the right one.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Three ways, and none of them involves an account or a login. Fill in the booking form on the appointment page — it collects your details and opens WhatsApp with the message ready, so you press send and we reply. Message or call +92 333 6333643 directly. Or simply walk in: we take walk-ins Monday to Saturday, 3:00 to 9:00 PM, though there can be a wait at busier times because they are fitted between booked appointments. If you are in pain or have swelling, say so in the first message — those are prioritised over routine bookings regardless of how you got in touch.

How long before my appointment will I receive confirmation?

Usually within a few hours during clinic hours, which are Monday to Saturday, 3:00 to 9:00 PM. Messages sent overnight or on Sunday are answered once we open. Confirmation comes back on WhatsApp, on the same thread your booking created, so you have the time in writing rather than relying on memory. If you have not heard back and your preferred slot is close, call +92 333 6333643 rather than waiting — a message can sit unread on a busy evening, and a phone call is the faster escalation. Anyone in genuine pain is answered as a priority rather than in order of arrival.

What if I need to reschedule my appointment?

Message or call +92 333 6333643 and we will find you another slot. As much notice as you can manage is appreciated — ideally 24 hours — because a slot released early can be given to someone in pain, and orthodontic adjustment appointments in particular are hard to refill at short notice. There is no penalty for rescheduling. Our evening hours, up to 9:00 PM six days a week, usually mean an alternative exists without you taking time off work. If you are running late rather than rescheduling, message us anyway: we can often still see you, or tell you honestly if it is better to come another day.

What should I bring, and is there anything to do beforehand?

A valid ID, a list of any medicines you are taking including doses, and any previous dental records, X-rays or treatment plans you have. If you do not have records, that is not a problem — we take digital X-rays at the clinic. Mention any medical condition you are being treated for, and blood thinners specifically even if they seem irrelevant, because they change what is safe to do on the day. There is nothing to fill in beforehand: the medical and dental history is completed on a tablet at reception when you arrive, and returning patients review their previous answers rather than starting again. Eat normally unless you have been told otherwise for a specific procedure. If you are anxious or a past visit went badly, bring someone with you if it helps, and tell us at the start rather than partway through.

Can I book an appointment for someone else?

Yes, and it is common — parents book for children, and adult children book for elderly parents. Give us the patient's own name and age when you message, not just yours, so the record is created against the right person from the start rather than being corrected later. If several family members share one phone number, that is handled: dependents can be linked under one number, so a child does not need a phone of their own to have a record. Whoever is attending should bring the patient's medicines list and any relevant medical history, since that is what determines what is safe to do on the day.

What does a consultation cost?

The consultation is Rs. 2,000. That covers a full examination, whatever digital X-rays your case genuinely needs, a diagnosis explained in plain language, and a written estimate for the whole course of treatment — not just its first stage — which you take away with you. There is nothing extra for the X-rays and no obligation to book any treatment afterwards. It is what it costs to find out where you stand, rather than a price for treatment: everything else is quoted per case, because the same treatment name covers very different amounts of work. If you are in pain, relief comes first and the planning conversation happens once you are comfortable.
